Blue Springs Lake

Looking for an outdoor location that doesn't look like Kansas or Missouri? Blue Springs Lake is the vibe for you. The unique colors in this valley that has been created in the perfect spot for portraits. Make sure you get there a bit early as the sun usually sets earlier than what sunset time is forecasted due to the height of the valley walls.

The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

A perfect location no matter what season you're planning your shoot in! I love the Nelson Atkins because of the variety of beautiful backdrops it offers. No matter the time of day, there is always a spot around the property with perfect lighting. If you're looking for architecture that reminds you of Europe, this is the place for you!

Loose Park

One of Kansas City's oldest parks just so happens to be my favorite park in the city. Loose Park offers a gorgeous rose garden with fountain as well as spacious grass areas, willow trees, and a beautiful duck pond. What else could you ask for?! You might think, well don't flowers bloom the most in spring?? That's what I thought too! But the best time to capture the roses in full bloom is September and October.

Kessler Park

Last but certainly not least, we have Kessler Park! This hidden gem of a location is perfect all year. The columns and historic architecture provides a timeless and romantic feel for your session. I love going here for sunset because the light is always golden and perfectly falls between the trees.
