Lead photographer and co-director, Cassidy Drury, had a vision for this editorial that gathered together some of the most talented vendors from the Kansas City wedding market, creating a cohesive scene of colorful florals and trending decor amongst a contemporary, monochromatic, backdrop. She worked hand-in-hand with Laura Clark from At Ease Events to curate an elegant aesthetic infused with opulent pastels, creams and neutrals, and just a touch of dreamy lighting.
The talented Sadie LeMunyon and Daniel Wise portrayed our newly wed couple. While Isabelle Burton, Skyler Farrout, Alissa Hadjian, and Natalie Hurley modeled as bridesmaids.
Worn by the bride is an ethereal Jenny Yoo wedding gown with an off the shoulder design provided by Emily Hart Bridal Shop. Standing next to the bride, four bridesmaids were styled to inspire brides with their complementary floral gowns from Bella Bridesmaids. The flawless bridal beauty look along with hair and makeup for the bride’s attendants come together with the talent from Hello Lovely KC. Featured in New York Fashion Week, earrings from Anne Marie Designs complete the outfits. The groom is wearing head to toe pieces from the Midwest’s luxury menswear shop, Tip Top Tux. His pink velvet jacket aligned perfect with our vision for all things spring.
When we initially pulled inspiration for this shoot, we knew we wanted to work with Ferrell Richardson with The Cottage Rose. Richardson is well-known for the organic shapes and whimsical arrangements she creates. Her floral designs were a perfect match for our vision. Acrylic pedestals from Supply Event Rentals allow light and all of the abundant colors to shine through. These stands, along with the historic window sills at Kansas City’s premier luxury micro-wedding venue, created the canvas for Richardson to do what she does best.
Our reception tablescape was crafted by sister team Rachel Konrade and Emily Seuell from The Opal Collective. Linens, plates, and the popular ghost chairs were pulled from Supply Event Rentals while the gold antique flatware was picked from Good Stuff China. Konrade and Seuell provided pastel taper candles and mix-match brass candlestick holders. This intimate romantic dinner party is truly unforgettable.
“Kiss from a Rose” and “Pink Champagne Mocktail” were the two specialty drinks from Erin Cook Personal Bartending. These two drinks gave our bridal party a chic and tasty toast during the reception. Custom frosted acrylic signage was provided by BB Lettering. The modern signs contrasted the antique china and serving platters used in our bar and dessert set up. Bringing it all together were the floral macaroons and gold dusted cookies from Orange Goat Sweets.
Husband and wife duo Kendall and Damaris from Davinshi Visuals filmed the glamorous project. Drury’s final photography gallery truly captures how beautiful, posh, and luminous this editorial is. Her experienced work with flat lays gives even the simplest details, an elevated luxury feel. Calling back on the imagery evoked through modern trends, our take on a spring garden wedding is one of deep romance and intentional, bright details.
