Some creative projects come together and just feel like pure magic, and this summer soiree editorial at The Juliet Kansas City was exactly that. Lush hanging greenery, a stunning custom chandelier install, and a palette of green, orange, blush, and white created an atmosphere that felt simultaneously romantic and wonderfully alive. This was a celebration of everything a vibrant, fun, and deeply beautiful summer wedding in Kansas City can look like, and every single vendor brought their absolute best to make it happen.
I partnered once again with the brilliant Laura Clark from At Ease Events to bring this vision to life, and together we curated a shoot that feels as fresh and joyful as a perfect summer evening. The Juliet Kansas City continues to prove itself as one of the most extraordinary reception venues Kansas City has to offer, and this summer editorial shows exactly why. As a luxury micro wedding and intimate event venue, The Juliet offers a level of design flexibility and architectural beauty that makes every creative vision feel completely achievable. The space is refined and intimate, but it never feels limiting because the bones of this venue are just that good.
For this editorial the hanging greenery installation transformed the entire ceiling of the space into something truly breathtaking, and the custom chandelier work by Le Luci brought a warmth and drama to the room that elevated every single moment. The combination of lush botanical elements against the clean contemporary backdrop of The Juliet created a visual experience that was rich, layered, and endlessly photogenic. The florals for this shoot were brought to life by the incredibly talented team at Blush and Blossoms Co, and they absolutely ran with the green, orange, blush, and white palette in the most stunning way. From the lush hanging installations to the overflowing table arrangements, every floral moment felt abundant, organic, and full of life. Paired with the gorgeous custom chandelier and lighting design by Le Luci, the overall atmosphere in that room was genuinely breathtaking.
The tablescape was pulled together beautifully using rentals from Supply Event Rentals, with every linen, chair, and surface detail contributing to that romantic summer soiree feeling. Stationery and signage by Letter by Maude added a polished and modern finishing touch that tied the whole design story together cohesively. Custom desserts by Kate Smith Soirée were as gorgeous as they were delicious, styled perfectly within the editorial aesthetic, and catering by Culinary Creations KC brought a real celebratory dining energy to the shoot.
One of the most unique and special elements of this editorial was the live painter from Rebekah Lynn Studio, who captured the scene in real time as it unfolded. Watching a live painter work during a wedding or editorial is one of those experiences that guests and couples never forget, and the result was a stunning piece of art that lives on long after the day ends. Entertainment by Elevated DJ’s and bartending services by Erin Cook Bartending with alcohol sponsorship from Mike’s KC kept the energy of the shoot feeling festive and fun throughout.
Our model Brooke Angel Sherwood wore a stunning bridal gown from Emily Hart Bridal, paired with beautiful jewelry from Mahal Made Jewelry that added the perfect organic and artisan finishing touch to the bridal look. Hair and makeup by Hello Lovely KC was absolutely flawless as always, and our groom was styled impeccably in pieces from Tip Top Tux and Dapper and Dashing Co. The videography team at Davinshi Visuals documented the entire creative process beautifully, capturing the magic of the day in motion.
